Wi-Fi Alliance announces new wireless standard

The Wi-Fi Alliance has announced a new wireless standard called the Wi-Fi 6 Release 2, which brings new features that support increasing device and traffic density to deliver greater performance and power management with Wi-Fi devices and applications. The new standard is said to bring support for uplink multi-user multiple input, multiple output to improve the delivery of streaming services and video conferencing, and facilitate faster uploads and more reliable gaming. It also includes new features that improve power management for devices in enterprise and internet of things deployments.
