WHO and Estonia to work together on digital health and innovation

The World Health Organization (WHO) and Estonia have signed the agreement to partner on developing a digitally enhanced international certificate of vaccination, a ‘smart yellow card’ to help strengthen the effectiveness of the COVAX initiative, which has been founded to accelerate the development and access to COVID-19 vaccines. In addition to the vaccination card, the WHO and Estonia will collaborate across a range of digital health projects, such as a global framework for health data interoperability, and guidelines for national e-Prescription and e-Dispensing systems. Moreover, the agreement between the WHO and Estonia will contribute to delivering the objectives of the European Roadmap for the Digitalization of National Health Systems.
