WEF maps economic opportunities of 3D printing

The World Economic Forum (WEF) launched a white paper that provides guidance on how to deal with business and policy challenges steaming from the introduction of 3D printing. The publication discusses the consequences of the adoption of 3D printing in five areas – manufacturing, trade and customs, supply chains, legality, and the environment – suggests leading indicators to monitor, predict and prepare for higher 3D printing adoption, and discusses the relevance of existing policy instruments, suggesting policy changes that might be needed in the future.
