Waymo deploys its first self-driving taxis in Arizona, USA

Alphabet’s autonomous vehicle subsidiary, Waymo, has begun charging passengers to use its driverless vehicles as they continue testing the technology in the city of Phoenix. Willing passengers have to download an app and call for a car in a manner similar to other ride-share services such as Uber and Lyft. Although the cars drive autonomously, there will be a human driver behind the wheel ready to intervene. This is the first time end users and would be customers are able to pay for and to experiment an autonomous driving service.
