VoIP services reportedly disrupted in Egypt
According to media reports, Internet users in Egypt have experienced disruptions with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services over platforms like FaceTime, Viber, Skype, Facebook, and WhatsApp. There are also suspicions that the disruptions have occurred because of telecom companies complaining to the regulatory authority about VoIP services and asking for them to be blocked. However, the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority said that the authority had nothing to do with the disruptions, and that it had no information on this issue.
