Vodafone partners with Defra to monitor UK forest health
Vodafone has partnered with the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) in order to conduct a study on environmental change and its impact on the health of forests in the UK. The project will rely on data collected from Vodafone’s Internet of things (IoT) sensors which will be deployed across Sussex and Northumbria. The sensors will keep track of temperature, humidity levels, and soil moisture so as to monitor tree growth.
