Visa’s Token Service adds 28 partners to strengthen digital payment security

In a bid to enhance consumer protection and experience, Visa has announced that it is adding 28 new partners to its Visa Token Service as credential on file token requestors. Visa’s vice president of digital solutions Alan Johnson  stated that both merchants and retailers across all verticals are pivoting towards a ‘digital-first’ approach to commerce amid the Coronavirus pandemic.

‘Fraudsters are going to adapt’ said Johnson, as he explained the anticipated behaviour of bad actors in the growth of digital commercial activities and card-not-present transactions. He also added that ‘tokenization helps facilitate the balancing act between ease of checkout and security that demand a simpler streamlined online shopping experience,’.
