USPTO announced COVID-19 prioritization program
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) announced that it will accept petitions to advance the initial examination of applications for marks used to identify qualifying COVID-19 medical products and services. The USPTO also waived the fee for these petitions. The aim is to fast track medical products and services through the patent and trademark procedures.
