U.S. Officials: Foreign Disinformation Is Stoking Virus Fears
Three U.S. officials said that federal officials began confronting a ‘deliberate effort’ by a foreign entity to sow fears of a nationwide quarantine amid the COVID-19 outbreak. The officials did not name the foreign entity they believe to be responsible for a disinformation campaign.
