US Government plans to review the IoT technological and policy landscape

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration in the US Department of Commerce plans to review the Internet of Things technological and policy landscape, and has launched a call for public input inviting the various stakeholders to comment on the benefits and challenges of IoT technologies and the role that the US Government should play (if any). NTIA intends to use the input as a basis for a green paper that would ‘identify key issues impacting deployment of these technologies, highlight potential benefits and challenges, and identify possible roles for the federal government in fostering the advancement of IoT technologies in partnership with the private sector’.
