UKs data protection authority publishes “age appropriate design” standards for online services to protect children online

The data protection authority in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has published a set of design standards for Internet services for protecting the privacy and safety of children online. The ICO code comprises of fifteen “age appropriate design” standards aimed at protecting the privacy of children, minimising collection, retention and sharing of data of children.
