UK Parliament sends questions to the European Parliament for Mark Zuckerberg’s testimony

Even if Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO, has refused to meet UK lawmakers over the privacy breach, he may still indirectly face specific questions from UK parliamentarians. Damian Collins, chairman of the House of Commons Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee, published a list of specific questions to Facebook, for members of the European Parliament who will question Zuckerberg, as a response to Rebecca Stimson, Facebook UK’s Head of Public Policy, letter. Media reports Collins stated: ‘If Mark Zuckerberg chooses not to address our questions directly, we are asking colleagues at the European Parliament to help us get answers, particularly on who knew what at the company, and when, about the data breach and the non-transparent use of political adverts which continue to undermine our democracy.’
