UK government funds AI and data science conversion courses

The UK government is partnering with universities and the private sector to create a fund of up to £24 million to ‘increase the number of highly-skilled workers in artificial intelligence (AI) and data science roles’. As part of this initiative, the government has launched an application process to AI and data science conversion courses, to enable 2500 people to develop new digital skills or retrain to find employment in AI and data science sectors. One thousand scholarships will be offered to students from underrepresented backgrounds. A total of 18 universities will benefit from funding to deliver AI and data science courses.
