Uber is about to create loan services to drivers

Uber drivers based in San Francisco received messages from the ride hailing company offering a new financial product to assist them when they are in need. The service is not fully implemented yet, but the company has shown interest in diversifying its business. Uber has expanded into the fintech industry since 2016, when it created an interest-free income advance service for drivers based in California and Michigan. More recently, it created a fintech outpost in New York, and launched Uber Cash digital wallet for riders.
