UAE e-learning facilitated by 22 000 certified online tutors

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the only country in the Arab region that has been building a digital infrastructure that can support e-classrooms. The Ministry of Education was forced to launch it on a nation-level with schools being temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The Ministry has trained more than 42 000 teachers and academic staff in online tutoring, out of which 22 000 have successfully completed the training and earned the certificate.
