The White House has announced it will provide $25 million in cybersecurity aid to Costa Rica to help the country improve its cyber defences. The funding will be used to support establishing a cybersecurity operations centre and train personnel in cybersecurity skills.

The aid is part of the Biden administration’s efforts to support countries in the region to enhance their cybersecurity capabilities and combat cybercrime. The funding will also help strengthen the US and Costa Rica partnership on cybersecurity matters.
