Technology Coalition announces project to protect children from online sexual exploitation

The Technology Coalition, a consortium of 18 global companies that includes Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft,  Google, PayPal, Snapchat, Adobe, GoDaddy, and more. Announcing  a renewed plan to eradicate online child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA) through the Project Protect. 

Project Protect will be executing a strategic “Five Pillar’ plan focused on tech innovation, collective action, independent research, information and knowledge sharing, transparency and accountability. The project aims to reinforce the cross-industry approach in combating CSEA by; establishing a multi-million dollar investment in an Innovation Fund, publishing an annual progress report on the industry, and creating an annual forum for CSEA experts from industry, governments, and civil society to share best practices and drive collective action. 

To enable this, the coalition has also tied up with the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children (EVAC) and the WePROTECT Global Alliance.
