Technology and apps support accessibility for persons with disabilities

This video highlights how innovative technology and applications can make the Internet and ICT tools access points to the world and communications for persons with disabilities. It shows how applications designed with accessibility in mind benefit not just users with disabiities, but developers and others as well. She also points out how many barriers are created by society, and can be overcome. The video is a TED presentation by White House Champion of Change, Forbes 30 under 30 leader, and BBC Women of Africa Hero, Haben Girma, an acclaimed accessibility and inclusion advocate. Girma is the first deaf blind person to graduate from Harvard Law School. She champions equal access to information for people with disabilities, which has earned her recognition from both President Obama and President Clinton.
