Taiwan requests Uber to pay a 6.4 million dollars tax bill
Taiwan has requested Uber Technologies to pay a sales tax bill of about 6.4 million dollars, partly due to the government’s new tax regime on global online service providers. Uber rejects the allegation that it owes taxes to the government of Taiwan, and argues that it ‘is meeting all of its tax obligations under relevant local laws’.
