T-Mobile to Use 600 MHz Spectrum to Match Increased Network Demand

T-Mobile has been granted permission by the FCC to utilise additional spectrum within the 600 MHz band to address increased consumer demand for broadband access due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. T-Mobile requested this permission in order to support telehealth, telework, distance learning and general connectivity for the American public and especially first responders. This action by the FCC follows the commitment made by broadband and telephone providers in the launch of the Keep Americans Connected pledge to keep the public connected over the next 60 days.
