Study: 89% of cryptocurrency investors wary of funds in case of death

A research conducted by the Cremation Institute found that 89% of cryptocurrency investors are worried about what will happen to their assets when they die. However, it also revealed that only 23% of investors have established their will regarding their digital assets. Although complacency is a dominant factor, the combination of the lack of crypto estate services and government regulation are also key reasons for the disorganisation of digital estate planning.

In addition to the aforementioned findings, it unraveled that Generation Z and the millenials are far less likely to have a plan regarding their digital assets for when they pass, compared to Generation X and baby boomers. It also suggested that crypto estate services powered by artificial intelligence will exponentially grow in the next ten years.
