STL Launches digital inclusion platform for rural India

Digital networks integrating company STL kicked off a rural digital platform dubbed ‘STL Garv’. The platform, which aims to bridge the digital divide in rural India, will be piloted in 11 villages to outreach 54,000  lives in Maharashtra, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh. It further hopes to contribute to PM Shri Narendra Modi’s Digital India movement by providing connectivity via powerful rural digital applications to unleash rural growth and hence boost rural lives. To this aim, STL Garv is designed to provide prowess to the rural Indian communities through meaningful digital services like telemedicine, e-tutoring, government-to-citizen services, and assisted e-commerce. ‘By transforming people’s lives, we transform the nation. And India is actually witnessing digital disruption in the fields of digital payments, e-education, e-healthcare, and from this, technology development will get accelerated, especially in the rural Indian regions. Amidst transforming rural lives, STL Garv will bring the technology revolution to rural India. STL Garv’s launch excites me and I wish STL a successful journey enriched with the empowerment of the rural Indian regions,’ explained National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog), chief executive officer, Amitabh Kant.
