States will appeal the dismissal of antitrust lawsuit against Facebook in the USA
More than 40 state attorneys general announced that they will appeal the dismissal of their antitrust law against Facebook. In the lawsuit, they argue that Facebook obtained a monopoly in the market when it acquired Instagram, in 2012, and WhatsApp, in 2014. The move harmed competition. In the ruling, the judge estimated that public officers’ attempts to address this potential monopoly came too much longer after the mergers were approved.
