Stanford Medicine School, Fitbit, and Scripps research how wearable data can predict viral infections
Stanford Medicine School together with Fitbit and Scripps Research are launching a research project that aims to detect early signs of viral infections (including COVID-19) through wearable device data. The combined research team plans to develop a series of algorithms that indicate whether one’s immune system is trying to fight off an infection based on data such as heart rate and skin temperature.
