Sparkli launches interactive AI learning app for children
An interactive learning app called Sparkli uses generative AI to turn children’s questions into visual, game-based educational experiences.
A generative AI learning app created by three former Google employees aims to make education more interactive for children aged 5 to 12. The platform, called Sparkli, moves beyond text- and voice-based explanations by offering visual, hands-on learning experiences.
Founded by Lax Poojary, Lucie Marchand, and Myn Kang, the startup is built around the idea that curiosity-driven learning works best when children can actively explore topics. The founders argue that many existing AI tools fail to fully engage young learners.
The app generates interactive learning ‘expeditions’ that combine audio, images, short videos, quizzes, and games. Children can explore predefined topics or ask their own questions, with generative AI creating personalised learning paths on demand.
Sparkli is intended to complement classroom teaching rather than replace it. The platform focuses on areas such as financial literacy, design skills, and entrepreneurship, which the team says are often underrepresented in school curricula.
Safety remains a core focus for the company. Certain topics are blocked, while sensitive questions are addressed through emotional education prompts encouraging children to speak with parents. Sparkli is being piloted across schools, reaching more than 100,000 students.
