Southeast Asia’s first Quantum Networks Experience Centre set in Singapore

A new Quantum Networks Experience Centre (QNEX) in Singapore wants to connect government agencies, banks, telcos, and data centres to explore prototype commercial quantum cryptography based on quantum key distribution (QKD).

The quantum communications company SpeQtral supported by Toshiba announced the launch of Asia’s first Quantum Networks Experience Centre (QNEX). The centre, based in Singapore, connects government agencies, banks, telecom companies, and data centres to explore prototype commercial quantum cryptography based on quantum key distribution (QKD). SpeQtral and Toshiba will combine Singaporean and Japanese technologies to build a quantum-secured communication network resilient to new security threats, and to promote the adoption of quantum-secure communication in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
