South Korea approves AI-powered cardiac arrest prediction software as innovative medical device
South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) approved an AI-based cardiac arrest prediction software as an innovative medical device. The software was developed by a South Korea based medical AI solutions development company, VUNO. Clinical testing is ongoing for the software based on a clinical trial plan approved by the MFDS in June. The company was also selected to be part of a project, which is launched by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) under the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) to demonstrate an AI-powered system for medical image based analysis and diagnosis.
