South Carolina DSS launching online service to allow employers to  check child abusers

The South Carolina Department of Social Services (DSS)  will be launching an Online Central Registry and Database that will help employers who plan to hire to check the  state’s child abuse and neglect registry. The system will allow database checks that would have to be submitted and paid online  and results would be shared through email to the user account.

DSS State Director Michael Leach shared that   “Launching this system will remove roadblocks, especially for child care providers, to be able to hire candidates to keep South Carolina’s economy going.”
