Singapore, France ink deal on smart transport, agri-food, other digital and green issues

In a joint ministerial statement, the Singapore Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations S Iswaran and the French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness Frank Riester signed the France-Singapore Digital and Green Partnership (DGP). Within this partnership, the two countries will develop projects to promote digital and green issues. This includes developing a work plan consisting of projects dedicated to smart transport, smart cities, cyber, financial innovation, agri-food technologies, MedTech, and EduTech. The partnership further aims at supporting public-private partnerships and private sector-led approaches to digital and green technologies to enhance the competitiveness of economies and create sustainable jobs for the public.
