Scotland launches campaign to prevent online child abuse and exploitation

The Scottish Government, Police Scotland and Child Protection Committees Scotland have jointly launched the CSEthe Signs initiative to create awareness among children between 11-17 years, their parents and caregivers on child sexual abuse and exploitation(CSE), ways to protect against online harm, reporting mechanism and provide advise and support if they have any concerns. This initiative comes after Scotland revealed that child sexual abuse and exploitation grew by 13:4% between April to December 2020, when compared to the previous year.
