On Safer Internet Day, Google calls on Arab internet users to do privacy check, stay safe online

On Safer Internet Day on 9 February, Google called on internet users across the Middle East and North Africa to take simple steps to stay safe online and to safeguard their data and privacy. Through its #SaferArabicInternet campaign, Google encouraged people to take its Privacy Checkup, which helps people manage their privacy settings across a range of Google products, and to further invite four family members or friends to do the same for a safer Arabic web. Moreover, to help parents across the Arab world equip their children with the tools they need to have a safer online experience during distance learning throughout 2021, Google unveiled a partnership with Injaz Al-Arab and education ministries in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Morocco to train 26,000 students on Abtal Al Internet, an online safety program for children.
