The role of IoT, AI, and blockchain discussed at the International Conference on Emerging Technologies for achieving Sustainable Development Goals
The International Conference on Emerging Technologies for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals organised by the Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT) of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) explored how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), 3D printing, and blockchain can help in the implementation of sustainable development goals (SDGs). The conference gathered high-level officials and experts who recommended models of regional co-operation on science, technology, and innovation (STI) policies and technology transfer. Policy instruments and mechanisms which promote the use of emerging technologies were also proposed by the participants.
