Report shows that companies consider the adoption of cloud computing as critical to long-term success

A report on IT Trends published by Solarwinds and based on a survey conducted in December 2015 in North America, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Brazil, and Singapore shows that 92% of respondents (IT professionals) believe that adopting cloud computing technologies is important to their organisations’ long-term business success. At the same time, 60% of them say that it is unlikely that all of their organisations’ infrastructure will ever be migrated to the cloud. The report also reveals that the top three barriers to greater cloud adoption by weighted rank are: security/compliance concerns, the need to support legacy systems and budget limitations, respectively.
