At a White Hourse workers summit earlier this month President Barack Obama urged union officials and worker advocates to “think creatively” about how they might use mobile apps and the Internet to assist them. Obama stated that “technology can actually help in the same ways that in the past sometimes it’s hindered”. The President cited Coworker.org, a wesbite that enables workers to start petitions and campaigns around workplace issues as an example of techology tat can empower workers.
