Online education issues continue in Trinidad and Tobago

The Education Act of 1966 and that 60 000 out 200 000 students in Trinidad and Tobago, do not have access to the Internet and connected devices have been identified as the most pressing issues resulting from the sudden shift to homeschooling during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Ministry of Education and the T&T Unified Teachers’ Association are discussing how to best bridge both legislative and technical gaps to enable online learning.
