Northeastern University has created an IoT institute

Northeastern University has established an Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things. The institute will be part of the school’s Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex and its aim will be to bring together experts, to cover areas such as sensors, energy harvesting, communications and networking, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. The institute is launched a month after the National Science Foundation and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency selected Northeastern to run Colosseum, a data centre which will enable researchers to build and test wireless technology and find ways to use artificial intelligence to shape IoT devices.
