NIST publishes another draft IIoT for the energy sector project
The US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and its National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) published another draft of ‘Securing the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT): Scenario-based Cybersecurity for the Energy Sector’ for public consultation. The draft applies standards, best practices, and technologies to protect the digital communication, data, and control of cyber-physical grid-edge devices. It demonstrates how to monitor and detect unusual behavior of connected IIoT devices and build an audit trail of trusted IIoT data flows. The deadline for public comments is October 21.
