Nigerian Government partners with IBM on digital skills training

The Nigerian Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IBM West Africa for cooperation in the area of digital skills development in Nigeria. The aim of the partnership is, amongst other things, to empower young people in Nigeria, enable innovation and development of indigenous solutions. Through its Digital Nation Africa Initiative, IBM will provide free training to Nigerians for a period of 12 to 16 weeks in various IT-related areas.
