NHS Digital to deliver services and use data efficiently to tackle pandemic
The UK Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt Hancock directed the National Health Services (NHS) Digital to step up its efforts in collecting and analysing data, and providing services to help healthcare workers to tackle the coronavirus outbreak. Secretary Hancock also issued a notice to authorise the NHS Digital to disseminate information to approved organisations under the Control of Patient Information regulations (COPI)1. Information-sharing aims to help these organisations to effectively respond to the pandemic.
