China is considered the global leader in quantum communications, and ongoing education modernisation initiatives aim to address any talent issues in the future. China is estimated to have committed significant government funding to quantum technologies, with confirmed funding of at least $4 billion and sources guiding to the funding of over $17 billion. The report notes that close public-private cooperation and significant government involvement are driving China’s advancements in quantum technology.
