New advocacy group on telehealth launched in USA

A new advocacy group called Moving Health Home was launched, its membership consists of Amazon Care, Ascension, Dispatch Health, and more. The coalition said they want to ‘fundamentally change the way policymakers think about the home as a site of clinical service’. The group noted telehealth, remote patient monitoring, and digital therapeutics have proved over the past year that care in the home can be equivalent to, if not better than, care offered in health facilities. It calls on regulators to change reimbursement models and the culture around institutional care to allow further flexibility for citizens to choose their home as a site of care.
