Necessary regulations for optimal digital innovation in ASEAN

The Indonesian Government is advocating for well-crafted regulations to manage the impact of digital advancements across the ASEAN region, aiming for these innovations to offer optimal solutions for society. During the 29th ASEAN Telecommunication Regulators Council (ATRC) meeting in Bali, Mira Tayyib, the Secretary General of the Communication and Informatics Ministry, emphasised the importance of effective regulations.
She pointed out that the key to driving innovation, expanding digital access, and fostering economic growth lies in regulations that balance innovation with security, ensure inclusivity while upholding competition, and establish synergy between global cooperation and regional autonomy.
