Nanjing launches Chinese Metaverse Platform
The University Nanjing launched China’s Metaverse Technology and Application Innovation Platform. The Metaverse Platform was established to effectively integrate the scientific and technological innovation capabilities of enterprises, universities, research institutes, and new R&D institutions.
The Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology held a Metaverse Application Creation and Inaugural Conference of China’s Metaverse Technology and Application Innovation Platform. The Metaverse Platform was established to effectively integrate the scientific and technological innovation capabilities of enterprises, universities, research institutes, and new R&D institutions. The conference was attended by more than 200 metaverse technology experts, scholars, and enterprise representatives from across the country.
In February 2022, Jianye District, where Nanjing University is located, launched the first government-led metaverse ecosystem in China and innovatively proposed to build a ‘finance + digital economy’ industrial chain. The establishment of the China Metaverse Application Innovation Platform will have more significance in promoting the innovation and development of the Metaverse industry and opening new fields and tracks for economic development. In the future, Jianye District will also use this platform to further expand the Metaverse industrial cluster.
