Moroccan data protection authority announces temporary facial-recognition ban
The National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection (CNDP) in Morocco has announced a seven-month ban on the use of facial-recognition solutions. During this period, no authorization will be given to public agencies and privacy companies. The CNDP indicates that it has agreed on the need to regulate and strictly control the use of this technology and will open an extended public consultation on the topic.
