Malaysia scraps the ‘fake news’ law
The current Malaysian government has repealed the ‘Fake News’ legislation of the previous government which allowed authorities to set fines and even jail people up to six years, if they are found guilty of spreading ‘fake news’, which many believed was against the freedom of expression.
