List of candidates to become next European data protection supervisor announced
The European Commission has published the short list of candidates for the position of European data protection supervisor (EDPS). The list is composed of acting EDPS Wojciech Wiewiórowski, Yann Padova and Endre Szabó. Individual public hearings for each of the short listed candidates will be held on November 25th in Strasbourg. According to IAPP, Wiewiórowski’s working knowledge of the EDPS gives him an obvious advantage on the two other candidates.
