IWF to provide hashes to online industry

The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) will provide hashes of child sexual abuse images to the online industry to speed up the identification and removal of child sexual abuse content worldwide. The IWF will begin creating three types of hashes: PhotoDNA, MD5 and SHA-1 hashes. So far, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Twitter and Yahoo, are using the hash list, which will be rolled out to other IWF members.
