ITU releases ICT Facts and Figures 2016
ITU has released ICT Facts and Figures 2016, a report that includes end-2016 estimates for key indicators in the ICT/telecommunication field. These indicators include data on mobile network coverage, the digital divide, the digital gender gap, affordable access, broadband speeds, and the Internet of Things. The reports makes an explicit link to the Sustainable Development Goals, as it acknowledges that ITU’s data ‘help us accomplish our mission: to make use of the full potential of ICTs for the timely achievement of the SDGs’.
