Italy uncovers an online child abuse network that shared images of babies

The Italian police have uncovered a ring of child abusers who shared child sexual material online, including photos of nude minors and other ‘horrifying content, depicting actual sexual violence where the victims were often newborns’ through an instant messaging platform. 

While police have arrested 3 people, 50 are under investigation. The police statement said investigators had discovered “horrifying content, depicting actual sexual violence where the victims were often newborns”.
