Italy ratifies Convention 108+ on data protection
Italy has ratified the Protocol amending the Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data (CETS No. 223), known as the Convention 108+ on data protection, bringing the number of ratifications at 12. This protocol aims to modernise the Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data (ETS No. 108), known as Convention 108, the only existing legally binding international treaty with global relevance in this field. There is no entry into force for the moment.
